Don’t have a car? No worries, you can hire one or book a wine tour day trip to Hunter Valley!
During your day trip to Hunter Valley, here is a list of places you can visit.
Wineries
Hunter Valley is best known for being a premier wine region in New South Wales. You can easily spend a day going to selected wineries and tasting all kinds of Hunter Valley wines from red, white, and sparkling.
Winery recommendations include Sobels Wines, Tempus Two, and The Garden Cellars. But any winery you visit will be worth checking out!
If you’re wanting to spend a day tasting wines, we recommend a wine tour! You can book a day trip or do a foodie experience along with wine tasting.
Hunter Valley Gardens
The Hunter Valley Gardens is a beautiful garden that was designed by over 40 landscape gardeners, architects, and engineers. Ideally, you will want around two to three hours to walk around the Gardens to see all 10 themed gardens.
There is also a small shopping village, restaurants, and events take place in the Gardens with rides available.
Hunter Valley Wildlife Park
Spend some time seeing some of Australia’s favourite wildlife! At the Hunter Valley Wildlife Park, you can see dingoes, koalas, wombats, and the Tassie devil along with other wildlife.
At an extra cost, you can book an encounter with selected wildlife including lions, meerkats, lemurs and more!
Enjoy fine-dining restaurants
Hunter Valley has some pretty amazing restaurants to visit, with a few being award-winning! Most of these restaurants are on a vineyard so ensure you have a glass of wine with your meal.
Some of the best restaurants to visit include EXP. Restaurant, Esca Bimbadgen, and Muse Restaurant.
To get the best out of your trip, we recommend getting to Hunter Valley early in the morning to spend a full day here! Hiring a car is a great option to easily get around and do the things you want to do or you can spend the day tasting delicious wines on a tour.
