Staying at the YHA Hunter Valley

The Hunter Valley region is bursting with rustic vineyards and divine dining experiences, so much so that one day there is often not enough. If you’re wanting to explore some of the natural beauty around the area, head to Tomaree Head for breathtaking views. This large mountain can be explored by a summit walk for panoramic views of nearby Broughton Islands and the Point Stephens Lighthouse. Bring a picnic basket, and have lunch at the lookout for a sight you won’t want to miss.

The YHA Hunter Valley is passionate about being a sustainably run accommodation, which is why they take care in reducing their carbon footprint. This means that they work with a solar hot water system, low energy lighting and participate in Earth Hour.

They use rainwater collected on site and have a newly built café on site that was constructed with mostly recyclable materials.
