The Hunter Valley is just one of the many stunning wine regions this fertile land has to offer, with some of the country’s – and the world’s – most decorated labels producing fine vino from its bountiful vineyards.

Being Australia’s oldest wine region, it should come as little surprise that the Hunter Valley also produces some of our most revered drops, with the likes of McGuigan and Tulloch wines up there with the world’s most desired drops.

The Hunter Valley is revered for its production of top quality Chardonnay, Riesling, Semillon and Pinot Noir (among others), making it a versatile growing region with plenty of variety in its bottles.

The Hunter Valley is also a pretty spectacular place to visit, with wine tours, stunning scenery and plenty of merriment to be enjoyed on what is sure to be a fantastic vacay.

These awesome experiences await your arrival:

Wine tasting

Duh, it’s a wine region, and this means the region’s labels proudly open their doors and pour tastings of fine red and white into your glass. And whilst the aforementioned McGuigan and Tulloch as well as Brokenwood and Krinklewood offer fantastic cellar door experiences, it’s also their stunning backdrops that make a Hunter Valley winery tour the top priority for weekenders looking to sample some of Australia’s best!

With gorgeous buildings set on bucolic vineyards, each winery has its own unique charm that really tops off a joyous experience sampling wine in the immaculate Hunter Valley…

The Hunter Valley Chocolate Company

Anywhere there is fine wine there is indulgent choccy, too, right? Yes, that’s absolutely right! And you can be sure to find some of the very best oozingly-delicious chocolate at the Hunter Valley Chocolate Company.

After you’ve grabbed yourself a bottle or two of top quality vino, be sure to head to this charming little confectioner, where you will find some seriously scrumptious chocolate and fudge (among other delights), making this a wonderful additive to what is sure to be a bountiful local cornucopia!

The Hunter Valley Garden Village

The Hunter Valley Garden Village is the thriving hub of this vibrant region, with pristine botanic gardens, wine shops, distilleries, high-end clothing stores and day spas all within walking distance of one another.

On a sunny day, be sure to take a basket of local produce and set yourself up a picnic in the wonderful gardens – it’s the perfect way to treat yourself in this gorgeous part of Australia…
